YOUNG LEARNERS ENGLISH PROGRAM, Toronto, Canada.

by English Today on 1 May, 2012

Our English Today Sdn Bhd students from Malaysia, Indonesia and France embarked to Canada’s largest city Toronto last July 2010 for the Young Learners’ English program. The Young Learners English Program in Toronto provided our students with the opportunity to practice their English Language command amongst their peers from across the globe and for the students to experience an independent life as a preparatory before departing to colleges and universities abroad.

Our students lived with their foster families and other international students from Spain, Korea, and Mexico. Lee Sze Wen, 15, “a fun-filling learning experience, definitely a life changing experience in educational context. I’ve met people from places that I didn’t know about.” “I finally took public transportation!!! The teachers were friendly, we had good food and I went for movie with my friends from different parts of the world..” Goh Kian Shen,15, who is graduating from a private high school this year will be looking forward to enrolling himself in one of the colleges in New York next year. Parents were amazed by how much their children gained from the experience. Mrs Ehlinger, for example, was excited about how her daughter Alexine gained confidence and spoke with much clarity now.

Both academic and leisure activities were scheduled for the students. It’s not all about learning classes taken place, also followed by a wide range of social activities inclusive visiting historical sites, picnics in the summer, natural parks, Niagara Falls trip.

2012, Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, museums – the famous landmark of the world is marked in this year’s summer calendar. The Manhattan Campus located in New York City is going to be our chosen centre in 2012.

The Young Learner’s one-week’s camp starts at an affordable USD950 including full-board homestay.
